I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.

Zion and Jerusalem, March 24, 2013

I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.

(Old Testament | Psalms 69:8)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

(New Testament | Revelation 1:8)

Ensign March Review, by Gary Carter.

by

Bobby
Reviewing the Ensign magazine is a difficult task. There are so many different topics
and articles that a comprehensive review would take an eternity if it were to be done
with any justice. In this review, I wish to investigate one phrase. On page 21, we see a
very interesting passage:
‘When we understand the enabling power of the Atonement, we will be changed;
we will have access to strength beyond our natural abilities, our weakness can be
turned to strength, and we can know that “in the strength of the Lord” we can “do all
things” (Alma 20:4). Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have the power and the desire
to help us overcome our feelings of grief, despair, inadequacy, discouragement,
pain, and temptation. They constantly offer us comfort, peace, hope, love, and
strength. They can heal our feelings of fear, distrust, anger, self-doubt, sorrow,
discouragement, and inadequacy. They can be the best resource we have to help us
get through difficult days and trying times. If we but come unto Christ, He will lead us
to the Father and a fulness of joy in Their presence.’
The phrase ‘They can be the best resource’ is very interesting, perhaps telling, when
we consider the LDS relationship with God to the Christian churches relationship
with God. The questions that strike me are simply these, can God be called a resource
and should God be called a resource?
The first question is a complex one. Rasmus, in describing the enabling power of
the Spirit, says that Heavenly Father and Jesus have the power and desire to help us
overcome our despair and strengthen us against sin. This is something that is quite
difficult to argue against. Christians believe the triune God does desire us to be free
from all despair and does strengthen us against sin. Jesus is the rock that grounds us
(Psalm 95:1). By the gift of the Holy Spirit we are strengthened and renewed
in our walk with God and in our own personal struggle with sin. LDS scriptures such
as Alma 46:20, D&C 98:47 and Moses 1:20 in particular support this position seem to
support this position. Whether this makes God a resource or not is a different matter.
I was talking to a friend of mine from church the other day. She was telling me about
her son who used to work in HR and how much he despised working in HR since it
moved away from being the Personnel department and became Human Resources.
The whole ethos has moved away from the idea of managing people and making sure
that all was well within the business to an idea that human being are in fact resources
that are there for the management and their jobs in HR is to improve efficiency.
In essence, it that line of work, it sometimes feels like men and women are just as
much of a resource as electricity and a computer. Men and women are individual
created beings lovingly made by God with their own individual personalities and not a
resource. God has made us for purpose and relationship with him. If He is the creator,
then how can He be a resource?
The created cannot control the creator. To call God a
resource has the dichotomy all wrong. As such, despite the underlining truths that it is
by God that we have the spiritual gifts and Godly virtues are cultivated within us, to
have the opinion that ‘They’/He is our best ‘resource’ almost treats God like a shop
where we go to pick up an extra dose of virtue and healing. As such it is not hard to
see how verses such as the one below can be used in the LDS church as a foundation
for such teaching.
And it came to pass that Moses began to fear exceedingly; and as he began to fear, he
saw the bitterness of hell. Nevertheless, calling upon God, he received strength, and
he commanded, saying: Depart from me, Satan, for this one God only will I worship,
which is the God of glory. (Moses 1:20)
It is important at this point to mention that Christianity is not blameless in terms of
thinking of God as a resource. One only has to look at the prosperity church to see
that but on the whole it is quite easy to see a very distinct difference between the LDS
and Christianity on this front. The LDS church has never renounced the idea of an
infinite regression of gods. As such the creator/created bond that we were discussing
earlier on is not the same. It could be argued in LDS thought that the role of Heavenly
Father and Jesus is to bring other people to exaltation and godhood as they had
been brought to godhood themselves. The God of the Bible has no role as it were.
All creation is there to worship and glorify His name. These are two very different
outlooks but we can see one important question that comes out of this discussion,
which is this. How can a creator God be used as a resource by His created?

THUS

I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.

(Old Testament | Psalms 69:8)

Bobby, Bobby, why does thou persecute me? It is a hard thing for thee to kick against the pricks. But if you insist to be crushed into pieces and to be grinded into powder so be it!!!  You are indeed a watcher, but not of the righteous kind. I have time and again detected the devil in you; and that you are a watcher for iniquity to snare those that reprove at the gate; and of those wicked men that pile up persecution against the saints. You do not see it that way and you deny it, but is the truth and GOD is my witness.

I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?  it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

(New Testament | Acts 26:14)

Like a gentile or like an English man, I have seen you Bobby time in again in my dreams in the great market place in a kiosk selling tea, cookies and sandwiches. In other words, you take our Liahona, our scriptures which is our bread and our meat which are our deep doctrines and brew them as in a tea pot and then you sell what you make of it all to the world what you brew from it.  And I have also seen that those who sit by the gate speak against me and I have become in your hands a byword and song of the drunkards. You make our GOD look a stranger to us and not like the father of our souls that he is. Like the ancient Jews Bobby, you are a profiteer, even with the word of GOD and you sell the words of the prophets for profit. And I am here to buy back all my words from your heart. But it appears that my humble money is not good enough for you, because you prefer the gold that shines than my humble exchange.

And because of this I am here in the anger and prayer of the LORD to rebuke you and those that concur with you who honor God with your lips but whose heart is far away from him.  Please pardon my absence, but I saw the prince of this world fall as lighting from heaven.  I thought that he had nothing on me, but I was mistaken. And as a result, I have been as in prison or out of commission for the past two weeks for I fell in the snares and sorceries of whore who poisoned me with deadly substances and stoned my brain as with a scorpion sting. It even numbed crotch, my buttocks, my legs and even my tongue.  I am barely coming out of her deadly effects.  And when I had served my time, I saw that old witch brewing something deadly for a great many people as in a seething pot. Yet, I am still here, alive, telling the tale even in great persecution and the distress of my wounds to overturn your money exchange tables because the zeal of the House of GOD that keeps me strong eats me up. For of this it is also written:

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach. I made sackcloth also my garment; and I become a proverb to them. They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards. But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me. Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies. Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee. Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.  Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake. Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them. Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents. For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.  For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners. Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and everything that moveth therein. For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

(Old Testament | Psalms 69:9 - 36)

Dear Bobby, beware that I do speak unto you with stammering lips with another tongue, yet you will not hear. For as Isaiah has said, the word of the LORD must be line upon line, precept upon precept, command upon command, a little here and a little there.  And this is with intent that you may backslide and fall backward and be broken and snared and be taken to rise no more.  In other words I am here to properly and satisfactorily warn you that you will be trodden under foot and become like a fading flower.  You will lose your strength to speak against us because more and more you will be convinced that God is with us and that we speak the truth and no one will want or buy your chewed doctrines. Not even the beggars who are hungry for meat will want to eat what you have to offer. And they will give your meals to the big dogs. I myself have seen it.

Be it known Bobby Gilpin that if you are truly trying to find fault in us, you will find many, for we as latter day saints abound in weaknesses. But in nothing do we offend God as long as we do what he says to the best of our abilities. And when we do as he say the power of God descends upon us and then we are strong. And in that we find perfection. The spirit of the LORD or of GOD dwells in us.   But you and your followers apparently get offended that we undertake to be Christ like or even as perfect as MiguEL or ElohIM, or like unto our God and Father in heaven. Only the LORD Jesus Christ, the beginner and ender of our faith and salvation knows how a great failure I am in my ministry, but as long as I try to be true to the faith and live by ever word that come out of his mouth I am justified by him.  Know you not that many are called but few are chosen. I am here among the gentiles miserando etque elegndo to do what I do best which is to feed the sheep and fire at fifthly souls.  For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many that go into it. Because strait is the gate that leads to live and salvation and few there find it. For thus or of workers of iniquity and of  prophets like you the LORD has spoken saying:

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.  Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?  and in thy name have cast out devils?  and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

(New Testament | Matthew 7:13 - 23)

However, among my brethren or the saints, some are more obedient that I am but still, they all fall short of the glory of GOD or of the perfect goal and for them also the lord make up. The LORD Jesus Christ is the way and the prophets are here to show us the path to follow. And as long as we do as he says, the LORD makes for our great and small short comings. Instead of feasting upon the word of GOD like many of us do, what you do is find fault with us and our doctrines. But as for you and your co apologetics who lead this people which call themselves Christians, this is also written. written:

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 28:10 - 11)

But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 28:13 - 14)

"RESOURCE"

But you Bobby Gilpin and also those like you murmur because of the truth and MAKE A A MAN AN OFFENDER BY A WORD.”  And for that unless you speedily repent and amend your ways your reward is assured.  I am telling you the truth, for you and I know that the knowledge of a savior and redeemer of the world has come to the whole world who in a day like today entered the city holy triumphantly on a donkey. And hosannas, hosannas and glory be to god in the heists for his salvation has come. And that day has fully arrived and now no one except little children can now be saved except thru repentance in the LORD God omnipotent. You are an enemy to GOD Bobby because you seek perfection thru you idolatry of dust or dead words. And it is because of your carnal nature and you will always be unless you believe in spirit. Today is the historical day of wrath and the great I AM commanded me even today to teach these things. You have been put in the balances and are found wanting. And verily, verily I say unto you that after this day you are no longer found blameless before GOD and my words or the words that you have dissected from the holy writ will stand as a bright witness against you in the Day of Judgment.  An angel spoke these very words saying:

For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

And moreover, I say unto you, that the time shall come when the knowledge of a Savior shall spread throughout every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. And behold, when that time cometh, none shall be found blameless before God, except it be little children, only through repentance and faith on the name of the Lord God Omnipotent.

And even at this time, when thou shalt have taught thy people the things which the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, even then are they found no more blameless in the sight of God, only according to the words which I have spoken unto thee.

And now I have spoken the words which the Lord God hath commanded me. And thus saith the Lord: They shall stand as a bright testimony against this people, at the judgment day; whereof they shall be judged, every man according to his works, whether they be good, or whether they be evil. And if they be evil they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord into a state of misery and endless torment, from whence they can no more return; therefore they have drunk damnation to their own souls. Therefore, they have drunk out of the cup of the wrath of God, which justice could no more deny unto them than it could deny that Adam should fall because of his partaking of the forbidden fruit; therefore, mercy could have claim on them no more forever. And their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flames are unquenchable, and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever.  Thus hath the Lord commanded me.  Amen.

(Book of Mormon | Mosiah 3:19 - 27)

As you see, like king Benjamin, I have also written the words that the very words that LORD commanded me. With your blog or comment on the direction of our Liahona, You attack us in one direction and you flee divided from us in many directions because the truth is cornerstone or like as sword that cuts asunder bone and marrow.  By your own admission, you have quoted scriptures that concur with the bible and dethrone all false doctrines and philosophical opinions void of merit including yours.  As per your words, it is too much truth in us to contend against us or it is too hard or to do justice to all that we teach and endeavor to follow as you claim. This is what the LORD said thru the prophet Isaiah said concerning those of you who make a man an offender by a word.

For assuredly as the Lord liveth they shall see that the terrible one is brought to naught, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off; And they that make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of naught.

Therefore, thus saith the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale. But when he seeth his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel. They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 27:31 - 35)

Nevertheless, you can still repent and amend your ways Bobby. You appear to be one of us even a drunkard of Ephraim. And like us before we were converted, you are eating too much of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you are beginning to imagine a vain thing. In other words, brother, you are thinking stuff beyond the mark like the ancient Jews that rejected simplicity and were blinded by too much light; inasmuch that when the LORD came to them they did not recognize him or his voice. In fact they rejected him and what not.  There are only two commandments upon which the whole law and the prophets hang, which are to love our God above all things and our neighbor as ourselves.  But since we are of a carnal nature and what to see God with our eyes and hear him of his own mouth with out own ears, we could not understand these two great commandments. So the prophets disclosed them into a Decalogue, four of which are pertaining to our dealings, respect and reverence with our God and the rest pertaining to our dealing with hour fellow men.  But even since, the doctors of the law who dissect all things like you, were not happy with the simplicity of the spoke word, they transformed the commandments and said that it is no longer necessary to keep them or to do works for our salvation. So just like you Bobby, they brewed and dissected the commandments even more until they made the word of God of no effect.

And this is why the LORD spoke to the Pharisees and publicans like you in parables so they as you can fall, be taken and rise no more.  You honor God with your lips but your heart is far away from him and you teach for doctrines the precepts of men. Don’t you know that this is an abomination before the LORD?  The LORD and his newly organized church became unto the Pharisees like we have become unto you.  He became a stumbling block. By the time Christ came, there were too many commandments that the whole law was unenforceable or of no effect. This is why John the Baptist and the new disciples were sent with a new commission that was immediately enforced to exceed the righteousness of those that sat in the seat of Moses and take the kingdom from them like it is now being taken from you who seat in the seat of Christ.  Therefore, they Lord came and went and they all missed it. And that is the path you are walking also Bobby, along with your apologetic fellows. And if you ever want to see the light of day you need to repent and amend your ways or face the suffering of a rejected soul falling into the ditch. For it is written that the ax is laid at the root of every three and every three that does not bring forth good fruit meet for repentance will be hewn down and cast into the fire from where no traveler ever returns. Beware Bobby, for you are like bad wee in my backyard, and even as we speak I am riding my lawn mower so beware of it lest you be cut off forever.

For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free.  Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind.  And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

(New Testament | Matthew 15:4 - 14)

You meant to dethrone us with your arguments. But you build us more than you or the spirit in you intend to destroy us with your distorted arguments. As a matter of fact, GOD is not only out source but our RE_SOURCE or our Sure Foudation.  In him we trust for he came with a fullness of those virtues qualities that all men lack in a lesser or greater degree.  I am the resource of my children, as I depend on GOD, they depend of me for their shelter, food and raiment and moral support. I bring them and take them from school and what not.  I am if you will the servant of all. And sometimes I am also their stumbling block when they hear me not. I make them quake and trembling and they even hate me. The LORD himself said it to his disciples that they shod not do as the gentiles do that lord over theirs subservient but that they who wanted to be the greatest among them, should be the servant of all.  The LORD does not get offended, if we use him and abuse him as long as we do as he says. He is happy, he plays with us, he suppers with us, and we are like in a never ending feast as long as he is with us. As a matter of fact, we are having a great party in two weeks from now to which you are invited. It is the 183rd General conference of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And The LORD also chastises or disciplines us for hi is the RESOURCE or better yet, the FOUNTAIN of living waters or of all things we are in need of. But you, you are bastards for you refuse to be corrected by him thru his servants the prophets.

If we would speak in Hebrew there would not be fault in us as in a written or spoken word. We all, have fallen short of the glory of GOD. Our heavenly father can never say of us, except thru his son that he is well pleased on us.  However, the more you learn from us Bobby, the more you appear to be like one of us.  Sooner, rather than later, he for whom you now work will fire you, because with your dialogues you in fact do more good than harm to us. The devil is a liar and he does not pay his servants, and those that devastate his cause of deception he rejects.  There are more of us than there are of you Bobby, and sooner or later you will have to surrender your weapons of rebellion against us. Admit now that you can’t live or make a living without us and you will live. Why will you die? Don’t you know that the LORD does not take pleasure in the destruction of the wicked?  You may as well join us.  I am so naïve that I can even visualize the day of your baptism. To me you are no different than Paul when he was still Saul. The field is white and ready to harvest. We are in need of laborers like you and I pray that you will become a RESOURCE or an instrument of salvation in the hands of my GOD. But until hen you are as dead meat, even a waking corpse trying to levitate.

Today the church meetings I was delighted for the miracles we enjoyed. Our meetings were in charge of the spirit of GOD and those in our congregation who addressed in class and from the pulpit are unlearned and despised.  They learned to read and write with the scriptures. They taught us not from a piece of paper written intellectually by another man, but they taught we power and authority from on high with the very source of truth.   And I had to incline my ears not to miss a word they said in simplicity and my eyes were a fountain of tears. I was filled, I was comforted and I received peace in my heart. Those who spoke from the pulpit today were no different than the prophet of GOD and those who serve with him who will address us from the top of the mountain shortly.  But the things that we heard from those humble brethren in our midst you will not hear or understand from those who are above us because they spoke of things that are hidden from the intellectuals like you. There I received my commission and my orders from the spirit if GOD to sustain me this week. Again, we were told that the field is white already to harvest and we were told to pray to the master of the vineyard to send more laborers. I was dead and now I am alive. And I prayed in secret and this is the reason by I am here speaking to the dead so that you and as many as will may believe and become alive in Jesus Christ. For the LORD has said:

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  Believest thou this?

(New Testament | John 11:25 - 26)

I am but an unworthy servant in the hands of Christ and close with these words which I leave humbly in my manner of speech and in a strange language that is not heavenly, yet I do is as one having authority in the sacred name of Jesus Christ amen.

This is your most devoted reader and fellow Servant

Miguel Angel Tinoco Rodriguez.
